No where I live is really safe, I went away for a week and accidently left my key in the outside of the door...nothing happened :o)

A 10 y/o boy preoparing to enter his school is gunned down like an animal after being caught in the crossfire of twwo rival drug dealers.A parent beats their 3 y/o toddler sensless then places them in a bathtub full of scalding hot water and holds them down simply because they wouldn't stop crying. An elderly woman is savagely beaten repeatedly and brutally gang raped then has her throat slit from ear to eear so deep she is almost decapitated. These are just a few of the horrors I have read in the paper over the last few years and it seems like it is just getting worse. Humans are supposed to be the highest form of life and the most intelligent yet we are savages. How could any person with any kind of a concience do something so crul and horrible to another human life. It just boggles the mind to think some people have no regard for human life. When I read stories like this it scares me to think of where this world is headed. It makes me want to lock myself away in a room where no one can get to me and I can feel safe and secure. But I refuse to live my life in fear. I just wish that God had a little more control over some peoples free agency who use and abuse the priveledge to hurt and destroy other peoples lives for their own sick pleasure or financial gain.
