Yes..and Yes, eventually it worked

I have done that many times. It turns out they shoved me away. I didn't take it as offensive because I knew they didn't want to be bothered.

No cutter... period :)

I tried to teach my mom some shortcuts on her cell phone. We had to review them a couple of times, but she eventually saw the light and realized my way was easier.

Yeah I have. Usually if they don't want to be helped, trying to help them doesn't work.

Yes I have tried. And no it didn't work, they threw it back in my face. But it wont stop me trying again.

Yes. But I would not insist too much. Sometimes people just prefer to be let alone with their problems. If they start being aggressive, I won't go further, except for very good reasons. Another issue is: who decides that help is necessary? For instance, some people could think that other people need help, but the other people do not think that they need help. A well known example would be that with the Jehowah's Witnesses.

Sorry, but that's like throwing an anchor to someone drowning.

You can't help someone who doesn't want it. It's painful to watch someone not live up to their potential, but when you intercede without their consent, then it's called "butting in." We all have to find our own path. Some of us make it out of the woods, some of us don't. It's a simple, painful fact.

Yes, I have done many times, and I just can't stop being helpful, it's in my nature. Sometimes it works.
