I think it will. We are destroying our own race.
-
a major threat, if we're still around.
-
Major...That and lack of clean water

Perhaps not a threat to the continued existence of the human species, but definitely it will make life more uncomfortable, and unbearable, in the subtropics. The tropics would be completely unlivable- not just hot, but constantly bombarded by hurricanes, tornadoes, and tidal waves. Not that the world's governments have any reason to care, because it's mostly impoverished third-world nations in the tropics. They might even see it as mother nature giving us a solution to an economic problem. Plus we may get lovely ocean-front property along the Northern coastlines of Canada, Scandinavia and Russia, as well as along the newly-exposed coast of Antarctica! Look at the picture- by 2090, we will have very little north polar ice at all. http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2005/10/09/international/20051010_ARCTIC_GRAPHIC.gif

OOOOH, let's all panic over the manufactured junk science without any hard evidence to back it up. Certainly can't blame the natural cycle of the planet. Gotta jump on the bandwagon of the hypocrites that preach "Don't do as I do! Do as I say!" "The End is NEAR!" "Act now and for just 72 easy bi-monthly payments of $299.99 and one arm and one leg(and your first born, half the deed to your land, and all applicable taxes, fees, and licensing)YOU TOO can buy into todays answer to all your carbon footprint guilt with new 'Green-credits'. Hurry act now! and be entered into a drawing where YOU TOO can win a chance for Al Gore to hope into one of his limos rush to an airstrip where he'll board a private jet to zoom to YOUR city to catch another limo to come tell you about regardless of how he lives, YOU need to start conserving for our future!"

It will be no more of a threat to human life as the 'A' or 'H' bomb was meant to be 50 years ago. It is all scare mongering by a hair-brained anally retentive so-called liberal elite who need to go on an airplane, drive a fast car and let down the tyres on bicycles
-
By then it would have been way to late to save the world from global warming. There will be much major damage by global warming why before 50 years comes.
-
No...I think no matter what happens we'll adapt and adjust and come up with new ways to work with whatever conditions we are under
-
I am afraid to answer a question like this, because no matter which side of the fence I'm standing, my answer will be downrated. I will straddle the fence and say in 50 years I hope it is not a threat, either from the actions we took to prevent it or because we were wrong on the science. Either way, reducing our dependency on fossil fuels and limiting CO2 emitions can't hurt us so we might as well take those steps. +++

Not a threat, perhaps long after that it will be a threat to human life. The Earth's cycles take eons, not decades. Whatever it is mankind's influence on it will be minimal. We are just not powerful enough to radically impact Earth's weather patterns.
-
no threat, but fear mongers will always be available to piss on your parade.
-
I think if we do not do something before then it Could be a major threat. There is so much we Can do and don't. Recycling is not a difficult thing to do.
-
Maybe more like 50,000 years give or take.
