  • Probably by my cockatiel, he will chop down and not let go, or by a quaker parrot I was petting it felt like I slammed my finger in a door.
  • My sister's ferret. It's teeth met on the bone of my little finger.
  • Brown recluse spider bite. I was laying in bed half awake before work. I felt this incredible pain in my leg, inside of the lower part of my upper thigh. I ripped off the covers to find... ... nothing but a small bite mark. I went to work, the pain steadily increasing. Upon arrival home I removed my scrubs to see that a solid 6 inches of my flesh was reddened, inflamed, cellulitic, and bloody hot to the touch. I went to bed... that was a mistake. Upon arising I saw that the reddened area was but inches from my GROIN and the area of the bite had gone necrotic. I went to the ER, they loaded me up with antibiotics, debrided the necrotic area (that was fun to watch and felt good), and sent me home with a small, but clean hole in my leg, immense antibiotic treatment, and instructions to LOOK FOR SPIDERS IN MY HOME. I was also told that I was lucky because the cellulitic area was ready to go necrotic for the LENGTH of the cellulitic area. Ouch. I have a small, raised scar and had the pleasure of looking about 1/3 inch into my leg while it was healing.
  • Chilean recluse spider. I could have been killed; not a pleasant experience...
  • When I was three. I ran out to my neighbors house to show off a new shirt my mom had made for me. The dog of another neighbor was loose and bit me on the face from inside the mouth. It took several stitches to patch me up. I was too little to understand what had happened so I'm not afraid of dogs. (Maybe new shirts, though)
