You can get to know them but the only way you're really gonna develop feelings or know whether you like them is to meet them. There's nothing like person-to-person contact.
-
No, the physco ones always look normal.
-
I know that I could find out if I DIDN'T want to date someone! It can often be painfully obvious that someone should be avoided, is a nut, or having trouble coping with life by the stuff they put on their page.
-
I think it would be highly unlikely that you would be able to develop feelings for a person based solely on a myspace page. You could see that they had common interests, the same sense of humor or the same views of the world but you would have to get to know them first.Sometimes facades crack under scrutiny. They present themselves as one way when in actuality they are quite a different person.

I do not think that I would find anyone on MySpace, I do not even go on there or have an account.
-
No! You can write anything on this big blank space!! For all you know, i'm green with 2 orange flashing lights growing out of the top of my head. There are to many weird people in this world to take any such chances.
-
You might find someone you would want to get to KNOW first. But I don't trust MySpace enough to want to date anyone I met from there. *My boyfriend is on it but we did not MEET there. So it's different.*

RISKY is all you need to know... very veryyy risky move.
-
Of course... nobody lies on myspace. There are no 53 year old, beer bellied men posing as hot young 17 year old girls on myspace. In other words... no. You can get an idea of them, however, you never know what is REALLY behind that profile.
-
I would at least talk with them first. Myspace pages and the like are not a good way to judge character. However, I have met some amazing people on the internet who turned out to be just as amazing in person, but I wouldn't dream of even meeting them unless I had talked with them on the net and the phone.

No , it's hard enough when your around someone in real life - There's no telling who's who on the computer - Be careful and wise
-
Not at all! when i had one, ALL my details were made up, only my real friends new it was me. also, alot of my friends change everything about themselves.
-
No not at all!
-
of course i can

The thing to remember about the internet: You can be anyone you want - think Second Life, and you will have a better idea of the possibilities of what you can be online. a persons MYSPACE can be nothing more than a collage of ideas the poster wants to portray as their own, but could in itself be completely opposite to how they truly are in RL (real life). William Gibson coined the phrase 'Cyberspace' back in 1982...and then proceded to write cyberpunk ;) A person can be ANYTHING they want on line/on MYSPACE, so be wary and speculative when viewing someone's website, as they could be nothing more than a bad dream...or a nightmare. Think on the phrase used by military intelligence (yeah, I know - idiosycrocies and all): 'In God We Trust, In All Others We Question.' That cute little MYSPACE site may be nothing more than a trojan-horse loaded bas-relief operated by a pedophile lurking online trying to find their next victim...then of course, it could be your significant other's alternate personality posted where you are not supposed to find it. There is also, the off-chance that it trully IS real, but be wary of what you see online. Candied Apples looked so yummy and sweet back in the 70's when we were trick-or-treating, but some people were still compelled to insert razerblades in them. Thank the gods for smart parents using the X-RAY machines at airports! Go techies! Hope this helps!
