I pay taxes for their equipment and vote for people who will bring them the hell home.

Much to the disdain of my neighbors, I don't really do anything. If I wasn't pressured so hard into doing it, then I might actually do it. That's why people don't get me.
-
Being a soldier myself, I help the ones that get hurt...Currently i am involved in recieving phone card donations so that when they get to LRMC, they can call their loved ones...;)

By not supporting democratic candidates

I was one. I'm involved in a lot of veterans groups. We're alerted when a body is being brought back home. The Patriot Guard escorts the bodies back home, and we do our best to be there, and to go to the funerals.

There's really nothing I can do but pray for them and their families.
-
I support them by rallying to bring them home. Also, I visit with families of soldiers when I can for dinner parties and social gatherings that keep their spirits up.

By ensuring that they receive the proper intel. By being a soldier myself.

Yes. I support the troops. I respect anyone who has the balls to put their life on the line. I want them all to come back safely. However supporting the troops and agreeing with the war are two completely different things. I'm sick of neocons implying that just because I don't support the war, I'm disrespecting the troops. It's the government that doesn't support them! It's the government that gives the troops crap WW2 body armor that doesn't work! It's the government that gives them experimental shots. It's government that has our troops breathing dust from toxic depleted uranium weapons! Former US Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger said "Military men are just dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy.” The government doesn't give a shit about the troops!

I actively reach out to individual deployed troops and send them care packages, cards, and letters of support. My husband and I also work with local organizations and churches to help them learn how to do this. We visit veterans at the VA Hospital and personally thank them for their service to our Country. When we meet someone on the street, in a mall or restuarant, and they are in uniform or appear to be a servicemember or veteran, we extend our hand or give them a hug and personally thank them for their service. And, we donate money to organizations that work hard to help troops and veterans. In short, we don't just say we support those who serve, we actually spend our time and money showing them that we actually do care and support them.

I am married to a soldier. I think that says enough in itself.

I don't. Unlike Viet Nam, these guys volunteered. A rose by any other name is just a rose and what they're doing is wrong
