  • Yes they do. Ratings have replaced common sense.
  • When the people reporting the news BECOME the news then yes, it has obviously gone too far.
  • Yes. The news has become a race for the biggest, most dramatic stories out there. "Feel-good" stories are fading away. Personally, I'd dearly love to see a news channel that focused for at least 2/3 of it's show on the LOCAL news, not things happening worldwide. Yes, cover some of it, but not at the exclusion of home. When a world leader farting in public becomes more important than an award given to a local teen for doing a good deed, the news has lost it's focus.
