  • "Time flies by as we flow through it." Ancient saying
  • time stays the same while our lives move throughout it living and eventually dying...
  • I think that time flows as well as us flowing! We are taken along with time!

  • I think time flows, and to time travel we would have to shield ourselves from the effects of time by encasing ourselves in a time resistant field of some sort. Like rowing in a river, going backwards would cause more resistance than going forward.
  • Neither. Time is an illusion. The conceptual mind / ego has constructed the notion of time, as it needs to , to order, and separate events from one another. The unconceptual or unconditioned (enlightened mind) sees everything outside of time, as underlying every day existence is a timeless essence / continuum
  • Time is actually a theory.....man made to govern the days (also a theory) and establish history....thats my opinion.....if time wasnt established, i would never be late...;)
  • Thanks for a thought provoking question. According to Einstein's Theory of Relativity, relativity assumes that space and time are absolute and independent realities, which would essentially suggest the answer to your question is ~ both. The Mayans who built a civilization on the study of time believed in time within time, spirals and cycles of time, not linear time, that affect living beings flowing through those cycles. Which again would suggest that the answer to your question is both. Kansas, the rock band, wrote that we're dust in the wind. Which would also suggest an answer of both because dust is more substantial than wind, at least in that moment.
  • Whether by relgion, science, or philosophy, in the end this is a 'what came first, the chicken or the egg' kind of question.
