There are many time devices that will sound a alarm well over the 24 hour period. My bedroom clock has five alarm settings and is based on a calender. Therefore I can set the clock to go off anytime from now, until the batteries go flat. My mobile phone also works on a calender, rather than just one 24 hour day. Again the phone can be set to go off every 48 hours until either the batteries go flat, it brakes down or the end of the world rolls around. I'm sure the p.c. has this function as well.
