Everything is beautiful if you look at it with a certain mind. Your view of the world depends very much (in my opinion) on what's going on inside your head.
Some people would look around a concrete council estate in the roughest part of London and see absolute beauty. Likewise others could be in the middle of Hawaii and not see any beauty.
Me? I can look at a mail box and feel an inner warmth radiating from it's beauty ;-)
Algae is one of the simplest and oldest forms of life, it's symbolism alone is beautiful I suppose.
It's true. Look at it under a microscope.
You ever look at it under a microscope? You'll see some beauty then...
Google up images of a diatom, or just "microscopic algae". some of it's pretty neat looking.
I've seem tanks covered with it,except the front glass and with a strong current moving the water in the tank it looks lovely. And very natural, like a fast flowing stream.

The pond behind my work has 5 alligators in it. Lately a company has been going out there & spraying a chemical to kill the plant life & algae in the water. Is this harmful to the gators & other wildlife that live by the pond?

I have a 40 gal tank. I moved it to a spot that gets morning indirect sun light. The problem isn't surface algae, but free floating algae. The water is green, barely translucent. I have tried to change the water but to no effect. What can I do?

You're reading I just heard someone say that algae is beautiful. Is this true or are they just out of their mind or what?

Thanks, J. I was thinking of our conversation when I was deciding what my example of a typically beautiful place should be.
