Question

I am about to go to bed but I need to be up in 6.5 hours. Alarms don't work well when I'm deep sleeping, any ideas how I can wake up on time?

Get a louder alarm and place it across the room.

Also, drink enough water before you go to bed so that you will really need to go to the bathroom.

Get a car battery with jumper cables attached to a metal bar. Lay on the bar. Set a timer so that you get zapped when you need to wake up.
If thats too extreme, get a friend to call you, or see if you can hack an alarm clock and hook up an amplified speaker to it.

Have a friend call you and put the phone by your pillow.

Psych has a great solution I use.

Also. NATURAL LIGHT is one of the best waker's for me.
Same with local birds, damn birds, if you record yours and play that instead of an alarm.

    Don't go zapping yourself :/

Also, SLEEP MORE MY FRIEND. You probably wake up, but fall asleep quickly because you're too tired.

I've found that if I repeat the phrase in my mind "I will wake up at 4:30am" (or whatever time you need to be up by) at least ten times right before drifting off to sleep, I wake up just prior to my alarm going off. Otherwise, I wake up to the alarm having been going off for a minute or so.

If you have a dog that's capable of learning, teach it to wake you up when your alarm goes off. You can teach it to bark or jump all over the bed or whatever.

Dogs can learn to cause a ruckus on cue just like they can when someone knocks at the door. It's easy and hard to ignore!

Put your phone on vibrate and then sleep with it caz the vibrations against your body are more likely to wake you up then an alarm sound, this is what I use.
