  • I can give you a very genuine answer here, since I am writing from experience. (Not son, but very close nephew). I would rather have my loved one alive, to talk to on a regular basis and share the possibility of rehabilitation, as opposed to dead.
  • THAT is a very hard question, as a parent, to answer. Of course I wouldnt want my son to be murdered but for him to take someone elses life...that would be hard for me to handle unless it was a situation where his life was at stake.
  • i dont have kids but i would want him to be the murderer so when i see him i could smack some sence into him lol... i dont have kids and wont for another while.
  • such a tragic situation, if you choose victim your beloved child endures horrors and pain before the end, the other side of the coin you have a seriously messed up person calling you dad. I would wish my child to survive anything, but never as the instigator. This is why I try to stay nuetral.
  • I would rather have them alive and well then dead and well.. dead!
  • I'm not a parent but I think any decent parent would prefer their child alive rather than dead. Unless there has been some sort of major problem over the years.
  • I seriously doubt that our police would convey such a message over the phone...and if they did, there would be hell to pay once I recovered from the shock! +5
  • I would rather my son was the murderer because he might have a reason for doing it,or he might have murdered that person accidentally when they had a fight. +4
  • Dead or involved or "involved" in a homicide are my choices? Since I'm not sure what involved means but I have a pretty clear understanding of the word "murdered"- I will kill with a live child. If as you clarify in you last sentence that involved means to commit the act and I have no idea of why such a thing was done I would still prefer my child alive - I or more likely the state will be only too happy to put them to date at a later date. By the way the officer that made such a call should be fired if they fail to explain rather quickly what is meant.+5
  • The easiest question in the world. I want my son to live. PERIOD. Besides your question said he was involved in, he could be a witness, or it could have been justifiable. But even if he killed in cold blood, I'd want my son to live.
