More than likely yes, you will harbor resentment even if you dont realize it at first... I used to do it all the time but it's never ever good to sweep it under the rug so to speak...

If you truly let it go, you won't be resentful later. If it keeps nibbling at you, you should iron it out with your partner.

I'm almost certain that it will remain in the back of your mind, and will fester until it becomes more and more of a problem. You need to discuss it until they understand your point of view. If they are unwilling to do so, it may indicate that they don't respect your opinion, which can cause problems later on down the line, for sure.

unresolved issues are a deal breaker in a relationship so many times. I can personally identify because my husband and I have several issues we have not been able to resolve...we just both tire of fighting about them. We are still together but it has taking a huge toll on our loving relationship we once had. He resents me, I resent him....if you can get him/her to talk by all means listen and vice versa. Communication is the key.
