  • For humans I think evolution is over. Present-day medical science and biotechnology make natural selection obsolete. Disease, deformity, and fertility problems are all of limited impact, reproduction-wise. We more-or-less control our destiny as a species in a way that goes way beyond Darwinism. We have (or soon will have within a century or so) the power to direct our own evolution in a decidedly non-random fashion.
  • Greater resistance to either chemical pollution, or to addictive drugs.
  • I don't think there will be a milestone 'step' so to speak.. I believe it takes baby steps, and future generations probably won't notice until they look back several thousand years at us.
  • I think pretty soon kids are going to start being born without wisdom teeth! Maybe a few thousand years down the line, we lose the little toe, who knows. As for the human mind, well, that's always evolving. Slowly, but nevertheless evolving.

  • The way that things are going the next step may be extinction!
  • Well, seeing how the "Nice guys" Ladies love to ditch so much get none of the reproducing in we could see nice guys die out. If we allow Gay people to live free and do what they like rather than forcing them into heterosexual relationshps they might be bred out of the system. Other than that we might not breed out what nature would through natural selection, but we will change according to what we will allow to survive.
