  • No. You should simply accept it that women do not know how to be appreciative or grateful.
  • Probably not. I have a wife who once decided to clean the living room whilst I sanded the walls down for a new lick of paint. Women are women, they can't help being cleaning freaks. And besides, you don't want to rock the boat and miss out on a potential shag ;-)
  • Sounds good to me. I know what removing a fireplace is like, my husband and I removed several together and it is a huge painful messy job. Of course, getting to wash the sooty dust off each other afterwards was fun.
  • just laugh and let her clean it up, later walk in and help her.. makes for a good potential shaggin! trust me it will play out to your advantage, and not to be abused!!
  • You know hitting is not the answer. That being said tell her you did the heavy stuff now she gets to do the light stuff, we work as a team right? And if she still moans, you can say, well if that is how you show your appreciation for 3 hours of heavy lifting I doubt I will feel inclined next time to help you.
  • Skip the hammer but you should definitely nail her. She owes you one or 3:)
  • Not yet. Put the fireplace back. That'll show her!
  • A bit rash. Just let her clear up.
  • no, but i would have a talk and help her adjust her attitude pronto. +
  • dude you should just do something absoulutely time consuming like play halo 3 or an MMORPG it'll might make you feel better and it will make your wife HAVE to do the cleaning up....or give her a kick in the shins for being a spoilt brat...
  • Tell her that you understand that she doesn't appreciate the dust, but you don't appreciate her attitude, so the next time she wants something done, you'll be disinclined to help her. Whining causes anger but anger doesn't solve whining. All you can do with whining is ignore it or just get away from it; reactions are what whiners are looking for.
  • No. Sit down with her and explain how her complaining about the dust makes you feel after the effort you've put in. And see if there is something else bothering her. (Which may well be the case).
  • Hmmmmmmm........ Yes!
