Considering you're baking your cake in the kitchen, I would use a clean kitchen towel (not the one you've been using to dry your dishes the last few days). When you're baking your cake in the bathroom, I'd advice a bathing towel, maybe one of those big ones for on the beach, depending on the size of the cake you're baking ofcourse.
