Anytime after Thanksgiving. My Christmas tree, my Advent wreath and my nativity scene all went up yesterday, next weekend we'll do the lights.
I get the Halloween decorations out on October 1st, then the Thanksgiving decorations out on November 1st. The Saturday after Thanksgiving is when I decorate for Christmas.
The weekend around the 12th Dec =)
We don't decorate for holidays because we go away. We decorate for Christmas a few days before Christmas Day.
This is another example of the USA and UK having totally different meanings for the same word.
saturday after thanksgiving.
Usually decorate and switch on on the 10th December which ever day that falls on.
But this year i'm having to do it early and will be doing it on the 30th November to switch on on the 1st December.
