Help answer this question below.

If you had an important essay to write for university which you hadn't finished, and you had work the day before it was to be handed in, would you take the day off work? Would you feel bad about it at all?

I would definitely take the day off work, I would feel bad - but getting good grades at school would be the most important thing.

The real question here is you goofed off and ran out of time to write the essay and now you want us to give you a good excuse for not finishing it and what to do?

- I've been having trouble finding the time to do anything. I have a ridiculous amount of studying to do and my job has been taking up too much time. I have already quit my job because of it, I had given my notice in last week. I only have that one more shift to work. It isn't really a question of "goofing off". I couldn't keep up. My reason for asking this question was because I'm struggling to decide whether I should try to honour my commitment to work until I'm done despite the consequences or whether I should stay off sick because uni is just more important.
  When I think about it now, I don't think I have a choice.
  The only way I could have solved this problem would have been to quit my job earlier when I first noticed I was struggling at uni.
