Not even close! Nothing slows down..everything is in real time or accelerated and going on too fast to absorb. Jim and I were in a terrible near-fatal accident on August 13 (a Friday) 2004. The car was totaled...we should have been as well. We were not. That slow-mo crap is bogus. It is used for dramatic effect but anyone who has experienced what we experienced wouldn't believe it for a minute. Good for movies but it didn't happen that way at all. Happy Tuesday to you! :)

Nothing slowed down when I thought I was going to get killed, but I can still see the entire incident with incredible clarity, and it was over 20 years ago.

Not quantum physics, but perhaps just your brain speeding up in response to the stress and adrenaline rush. Your mind can actually process things quicker than usual, so it seems like time has slowed down.
