They should change their name from newspaper to Daily Gossip as they stopped having news in them a long time ago. World events get a small headline on the front page whereas the private life of Simon Cowell or some other wannabe gets 3/4 of the front page.

When I look at papers for sale, I see the headlines on the stories and they're all from a day or two ago, and I already read these online. I like the feel of holding and reading a paper, but I can't be bothered with old news.

There are other ways to get the news. I still like to read a newspaper.

Several reasons. Our weekly newspaper comes out on Thursdays. I usually buy the paper at the grocery store when I go shopping. By the time I put the groceries up, I'm tired from shopping, etc. Sometimes I read the paper, sometimes. I don't. Then if I do the news is from the week before, so I don't have much enthusiasm about reading news that is already one week old. Then I usually end up reading that paper a week later. Confused? It's an excuse.
