I know that by smoking I am effectively killing myself.... slowly. Does that mean I'm going to hell?

Wow. That's deep. I am a godless heathen, so I don't really have an answer, but I'll bet even the most devout would have trouble fielding this one truthfully.

There's all kinds of sins and not all are against God. Smoking is a sin to your body. The worst your body can do to you is simply quit working. Sin against your body and you'll eventually get sick & die. Sin against your neighbor and you'll either find yourself with a black eye(fig.) or in court. Sin against God.. and God will deal with you accordingly. Mt:10:28: And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. If your soul is destroyed, you cease to exist.

no. You don't go to hell for snoking. But, stop. It is expensovbe, kills you, kills others..... get a patch. If you need a person to rant to while detoxign from it.... I am available!
