  • Just keep on your toes. She's eventually going to get around to trying and convert you. Let her live her own life. If she wants to be a brainwashed Kool-Aid drinker, let her. If she tries to contaminate your life with her new religion, distance yourself and cut her off if necessary.
  • time for some friend dumping
  • I too am a reborn conservative Christian and I agree that many churches are indeed sinister, especially when they try to accomplish an all too worldly agenda that ain't in the Bible. Please understand though that basic Christianity may appear sinister and conservative when compared with television morality. Concepts of a good yet judgmental Supreme Being, the Trinity, Jesus' atonement for sins on the cross, the basic sinfulness of humanity, hell etc. are foreign to most people today who live their lives pretty much doing what they want and trying to be as good as they can. For me it comes down to - if we don't believe in a supremely good being(God) who do we believe in? And the answer unfortunately is either ourselves or other human beings who are by definition imperfect. Your friend probably wants to remain a friend and there may be some neutral ground where the two of you can still associate, but she also may start trying to preach Christian doctrines and convert you. You must decide what your level of tolerance is. But don't shut off a Christian just because she has different ideas. Were her ideas the same as yours before she converted or was reborn? Probably not.
  • Now nothing -- it's none of your business.
  • I've noticed that's what Christians are best known for. First count your fingers, then your toes, then your relatives.
