  • Thanks God, no, I have not experienced that. LOL 6+
  • Yes....me and a friend was there for 1 1/2 hours and the woman taked the entire time and the man she was talking to never said a word. Seriously.
  • Yes. A lady was so loud at this restaurant. We were only there for an hour. And we learned she got divorced, problems with kids and finances and that she hated her job. After that I kinda just tuned her out.
  • Yes, and I really hate it! I don't want to know how many times they sat in a jail cell during their high school years, I don' want to knw how many illegitimate kids their mother has, and I really don't want to know that their girlfriend left them because they got AIDS from a prostitute... EEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! Good question though! +5
  • Have I and is it annoying!! It always amazes me that people have no idea nor seem to care how loud they are. But the last time it happened (which it does a lot in New York) the waitress told us that the night's "offender" was actually an older lady with a hearing problem. So we decided not to kill her in the parking lot after dinner;)
  • Of course & i was ready for some serious prozac by the time i left just listening to her. +5
  • Yes and he made the mistake of asking my wife her opinion on the restuarant not furnishing the man with a steak knife. My wife told the man he was making an ass of himself and to just shut up and eat.
  • i havent but it did to my husband and i heard about it when he came home LOL
  • Yes, apparently she was unhappy with Derrick. =P
  • Probably.
  • Same happened here in a restaurant with a guy on a cellphone. Wife and i could not enjoy our meal for hearing this man bless out his cellphone service. I finally had enough and asked him to either go outside and talk or leave the restaurant. i told him he was invading my personal space and no one wanted to hear his problems with his cellphone. He then went into the mens restroom and carried on his converstation sitting on a commode. we could still hear him screaming on the phone to someone. i then politely flushed all the toilets and turned on the two hand dryers. this ended his phone conversation.
  • A couple of times 1 really drove me mad she was discussing how she had an upset stomach the day before, I swear we were all eating and shes describing her vomit and how runny her shit was I went mad
  • Sometimes it's me.
  • No I haven't
  • I have. But in that case, I just make fart noises and describe my food as being dead people or animals and shut them the fuck up. Goddamn I HATE loud people in restaurants. So much. Worse than Nazis. I shall indeed sell my dignity and pride to make an ass of myself, if it means they quiet down and I can enjoy my damn meal without having to hear about who they fucked up the ass last night.
  • I ask to have our table changed. A large enough tip almost always works. +5 Doc
  • Yes! And to many times at that. I don't eat out as much as I used to, but when I did, I was ready to leave as soon as I could hear someone above me talking. And, alcohol isn't always the cause for this behavior either.
  • Yes, my hearings pretty good, and I usually hear conversations a couple tables away, Icarry pre-printed cards, that say " I am not sitting at your table, so please do not include me in your conversation...your voice, and private life is something you should not advertise." Then I give the card to the server person, and ask them to deliver the card. Works every time, and they oftem leave the restraunt.
  • It has happened several times and it ruins my meal. I don't care to hear about your personal life, all your problems, how much you hate your family, etc when I am enjoying a nice meal. I only eat out once every 4 months if that much and prefer to enjoy it.
  • maybe not at a restaurant but my neighbor does that
  • One of the dubious benefits of moderate hearing loss.
