I hope I don't offend anyone by saying this, but I think the conflict is mostly one way: # http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/129491 Jewish people can be offended when the Torah is mistranslated and even used to attack Judaism. There is also a long and bloody history of Christian’s persecuting the Jewish people. Naturally many Christians may be offended by the fact that Jesus is not only rejected as the Messiah by the Jewish people, he is seen as a false prophet. The main point is this though: Jewish people are fine with Christians being Christian, the conflicts normally occur when Christians try to convert Jews. Jewish people don't feel any need to convert Christians because Christians already follow the Noahide laws.

I don't think they do as much as they used to. ANd nevets is correct, the conflict was one way. IT stemmed from a christian population kept ignorant of the teachings of Christ by its leaders. The leaders told them that since Jesus was tried by the Jews, that it was the Jews who were to blame for everything, therefore it was right to persecute and kill them. If you look at the Bible, however, it says nothing of the sort. Jesus says "He who lives by the sword will die by the sword"- thus telling his followers that living in anger and murder is wrong. These days, unless I am incorrect, I see in the US a great siding of evangelical Christians with the Jews against Islam. Christians are also rediscovering their Jewish heritage. In Australia, I cannot think of any problems we have between Jews and Christians. A few synagogues have been attacked in recent years, but the perpetrators were not Christians, as Christian churches have been burned down as well.
