Why do people do things that knowingly harm others?

  And if man were sinful by nature, then wouldn't this world be alot worse than it is because then all of what we did would be destructive?

• True. Those tendencies will never change on there own without the external influence of family, and society. What is the state of family and society in this day? You cannot get good fruit from a bad tree.

• Well, I'm thinking in particular of people who may grow up in homes or in areas where they're badly treated, where others are badly treated. They may see abuse and violence and lives taken before their eyes. That is the world they know so either they can come to value how precious life is or they can see it as cheap, not worth very much. So they wouldn't think twice about harming someone else. Doesn't mean anything. It's a survival of the fittest type existence. They're also probably lashing out because of the pain they feel themselves.
