Is it rude to ask guests to keep it quiet, while your baby naps? I find it rude to be invited to someone's house and being told to hush. I welcome your opinions or etiquette rules

You CHOSE to visit their house, knowing they have a baby. You follow their rules. THEY are not being rude, YOU are. If you don't like their rules, don't visit. Host them. Then be as loud as you want.
