motivation has to be coupled with the ability for works. a highly motivated "dummy" won't make it into medical school (unless dad was a u.s. senator) ... also, it depends upon their goal. a highly motivated bank robber will, in my opinion, usually end up in a place in which less successful people reside. location contributes to this equation too. a highly motivated accountant who gets his first job at enron or arthur anderson is probably not doing well in jail. overall, i agree with your statement!

Goal setting and accomplishmnet sets motivated people apart from unmotivated peoplee. So yes it does make them more successful. + 5
