Should more money be spent on Scientific research? To cure things like Cancer,Aids Autism and many more. Why don't people understand until it affects their family?

All of those have effected me and I still think people should give the foundations less money. These need to be government sponsored. Truth is, most of them misuse the money anyway.

More money should definitely be spent on Scientific Research. Why don't they is beyond me. Kind of like how some people are against Stem Cells when they don't even know all about it before they are against it.

Yes, it should, but if u see things with in form of a conspiracy theory, a lot of money that is handed out gets completly wasted on idiotic and unneded things. Also, people do understand, they just don't care. "Out of sight, out of mind", simple as that x)

I work as a scientist for a major cancer research institute in the UK. I can tell you that our budgets are extraordinarily tight, particularly at the moment. I genuinely think that we need more funding to increase our progress.

sadly the research is profit driven, the drug companys fund what will sell best not what is best for the people. every year they invest over 100 times as much in erectile disfunction as they do in cancer research. - - - just what the world needs, more dead people with erections
