Should more money be spent on Scientific research? To cure things like Cancer,Aids Autism and many more. Why don't people understand until it affects their family?

  These Scientist are some of the best Human Kind has to offer and they work relentlessly ; to find cures for everything from Cancer,Autism to Aids and things most people are unfamiliar with. Until it affects their family.
  People should remember how Nancy Regan changed her mind when her family was affected.
  The problem is people do not care and they are to narrow mined to attempt to comprehend the Scientific facts. Maybe to stupid?
  The Scientist are working to save Human Life ; and these morons who do not have a clue how the Science actually works accuse them of murder.
  They will not stop Science today and they only delayed it a little through out history. In the end Scientific facts will always outweigh nonsense and delusion.

  My Son is Autistic and the number of Children being diagnosed Autistic is increasing world wide ; but especially in the US. and UK.
  I have made many friends in the UK on autismsupportnetwork. You have had more resources for research during our Bush era.
  How do we go about explaining the Science to people that do not want to understand it? It is difficult to understand everything for me. I took many college level Science classes. I have to read studies several times before I come close to understanding it. It is worth it.
  It is so foolish how some dismiss Science they do not even comprehend. Foolishly it is all about political bias.

• I take issue with that. Our research institute is funded entirely by charity. Our annual report is freely available and therefore accountable. The institute I work in just couldn't operate if the money was misused. And as for giving less, our work would entirely collapse and we are at the leading edge of cancer research. It would be criminal to cease that. And government funding is stretched enough as it is.

• Anything to do with charity is retarded. Look how much money has gone into some of these things and how much has changed, very little. Why? Because they use the money to pay their employees and to get resource materials, nothing's free. Wake up.
