  • I believe that we are who we decide we should be.
  • Good question and something that occupies the minds of all parents I'm sure. I think it's a combination of both. In simple (if coarse) terms... For someone to be a complete loser, I think it's a compounding of two negative factors. The factors being poor or weak nature AND poor nurture. Nature being the basic character they are born with. Nurture being the the child's upbringing. By "upbringing" I am reffering to the teaching, training and example set by the child's greatest influences i.e. Their parents, teachers, mentors, siblings, family and friends. Works something like this... Winning character + Poor upbringing = Reasonably successful individual (The one mitigates the other.) Winning character + Good upbringing = Phenomenal winner (Synergy) Loser character + Good Upbringing = Reasonably successful individual. (The one mitigates the other.) Loser Character + Poor Upbringing = Total loser (Perfect storm!... as they say.) That's Marky Mark's crackpot theory and of course their are many exceptions to the rule. It probably needs some polishing. :)
  • Defective DNA....born with a tough row to hoe Otherwise, we make our decisions and react based on who we are. We cannot control what crap is thrown our way, just control our reactions. Of course the term "loser" is very loose..very subjective..and many wouldn't agree with a specific definition. I do think some people at birth may come into this world with the cards stacked against them though. :(
  • Made. You enter the world with a few things you have inherited from your parents, but it does not include the way you act. Your personality can be a mixture of those of your parents but the way you express yourself does not have to be similar at all. If you turn out to be a loser, it might be because you experienced a lot of things that will make you believe you are a loser. The only one who can change the way you feel and act is you. The only one who will die a loser is the one that chooses to remain one when getting the chance to change.
  • Made. Of course some are born with better "anti-loser" tools than others. But I think within all of us resides the ability to live up to our potential, whatever it may be.
  • made,i don't think we all start the race equally and some losers are ok and some successful people are losers.
