Most people don't know the reason for Labour Day. And it's not a socialist thing; it's a worker thing, workers who earn their living in a capitalist environment and who simply want to be treated with the dignity and respect due to them.

That is like calling Army day militaristic and proposing military government. Labor Day is intended to celebrate workers without political overtones. Of course, socialist politicians and labor leaders will attempt to put their overtones on that day. But, by acceppting their takeover-bid, you are supporting their cause. The Socialist day is more usually regarded as Mayday; Labor day is to honour the fact that it is people doing their jobs that builds the world.
