Yes. A couple of times I've woken up in a cold sweat thinking that the dream actually did happen, and then feeling incredible relief when it didn't!

That sort of depends on the dream. If it is one simple nightmare, that is common, and feels so REAL for a long time sometimes. But, if it is a dream of something that happened in your childhood or something to that affect, that would be your mind's way of bringing it to the surface. Was it something like that?

Ya, I had this freaky dream that I had murdered someone and was getting the death penalty. The guy was strapping me into the chair, and I was trying to be calm by making small talk, but I just had this oppressive feeling of guilt and fear. I woke up, but for about 2 minutes or so I still had the feelings of guilt thinking my life was over cause I'd killed someone, but then it hit me that it was just a dream........oh the wave of relief the crashed over me, lol! I felt silly......and am much less likely to kill someone now:)
