In 1838 God commanded the Early Mormons in Far West, Missouri to: "...build a house unto me, for the gathering together of my saints, that they may worship me..." The text strongly implies that "house" means "Temple". So when is it going to be built?

The Biblical word "elder" means "old one." The average worldwide life span for a male is currently 66-years. So why does the LDS Church call 19-year old teenagers "Elder" after merely going through the Melchizedek Priesthood Endowment Ceremony?

You're reading Mormons, what would you say to someone who compared the LDS Temples to Saddam’s palaces? How would you feel?
Comments
He would say that the temples are frivolous like Saddam's palaces because Saddam could've built hospitals and places to help the needy, but he built palaces for himself instead. And the LDS could've done the same, but they built temples instead.
