Suppose you have a particular belief in God or what you will. Must one not find out how that belief has come in to being? This does not mean that you must not believe, but why do you believe?

Unfortunately, today we live according to other people's ideas and beliefs. In the christian religion. we were all brought up to believe in God. And i'm sure that it was the exact way with our parent's generation. we believe because we kw nothing else but waht we see around us and what the people around us do especially the older people whom we look up to. At some piont in our lives, it is up to us to take a step back and think "what is this thing that i believe in and why do i believe in it? Belief itself shows that there is no certainty in whatever is being believed. People say "i believe in God". I've never heard anyone say " I know God" because they really don't. There needs to be more originality. we need to get to a point where we can think or actoutside the norm or the status quo and so many of our questions will be answered. Hope I made sense.
