Daughter's cheer coach is in the hospital, they are still having practice, coach doesn't want the girls to tell the school she is in the hospital because she won't get paid. Girls are practicing without a coach. Is this right? Should the girls tell?

This has been going on for a week, I just found out. I think this is dangerous. They are practicing without adult supervision as well the coach is in the hospital and getting paid for something she is not doing. Should I call the school?

Its illegal, and the coach could get in a lot of trouble. Yes, the kids should tell, and you shouldn't let her go. If one of the girls gets hurt while they are practicing unsupervised, the school could be in a lot of trouble and their insurance probably won't cover the bill. That coach deserves to be fired for even asking the girls to do that.

I don't know if they should tell but they shouldn't lie if they are asked. Apparently they are highly motivated to continue with their practice and could have concerns about practice being cancelled.

Not only should the school be alerted to this (fraud, among other things), but what else is the coach willing to "hide"...?
