OK, I just got a new email address, and I want to use it on Outlook Express rather than the Webmail. My parents also use OE. I tried to make an account on OE, but then it won't let me send mail. How do I make an account correctly?

I stand to be corrected on this, but I believe that some email accounts are only webmail and can't be used by a mail reader. If it's a GMail address there are full instructions in GMail help. You need to know your server's incoming mail (POP) settings and outgoing mail (SMTP) settings, your account name with your provider among other things among others if you're setting up the account manually. I recommend looking at the help pages of the provider of your email account.

I know this is an old question, but still worth answering. You go into your webmail ( assuming they handle forwarding and downloading to desktop) and there should be a Settings option somewhere which will refer you to redirecting your mail via POP or IMAP. In Google, and now Virgin, you simply enable POP,click on the button to send your mail down, apply changes and come out. Your new e-mail address, should be configured to use the mail providers POP and SMTP servers, and the configuration details for these should also be available somewhere on the website - or copy them from another account.

Oh forgot to say, I think with Yahoo you need to have the Mail Plus to do forwarding.
