i do think it is selfish to commit suicide, but i don't think too many people would be very hurt if i did. i mostly avoid suicide for myself. because i know i can make my life better if i want to, instead of taking the easy way out.

I personally have never contemplated it. My best friend committed suicide in 1986 which devasted her family and friends. If I ever thought about doing myself in I wouldn't go through with it...I care too deeply for my family/friends and I would never sentence them to a lifetime of sadness and guilt.

Yes. It would be so much easier if I didn't have anyone to live for, no responsibilities. Maybe it's just aswell I do though.

No, I dont contemplate suicide, my son has and he told me the reason he couldnt is because he knew it would devastate me. -
I wouldn't consider it because life is precious and I believe it is finite. We only have one. There aren't any second chances. Why would I throw away everything I have if there is no more to come?

Everybody is in it for themselves, not for others, if you want to you do it. But otehrs will be a thought there.
