Question

Help answer this question below.

I havn't been to a Catholic Mass in many years (since my first communion) and I will be attending one in a week or two. I was wondering will I need Rosary beads for this service? Thanks.

No, the rosary is only used privately or at a rosary service, not at mass.

Nope. You won't need your Bible either.

It's always a good idea to have your Rosary beads with you when you go to Mass.....never know when you might need them!

If you choose to say the Rosary privately before Mass.....make sure to put your beads away when Mass starts. The Mass celebrates Christ. Technically, your Rosary beads have no business being out during Mass.

ummmm excuse me whoever you are but we happen to say the luminous mysteries of the rosary every sunday a half hour before mass. So research before you make yourself look dumb. Of course bring prayer beads. Even if they don't do it. I keep mine on me all the time, and if you do the blessed mother has promised that it will keep the devil far away. So don't listen to the fool that said they dont do rosary at mass, that's a downright LIE

it's always nice to bring them with you, but you should be more worried about confessing your sins before you take the eucharist. By all means DO NOT ABSOLUTELY DO NOT take the communion in your hand. Even Pope benedict is trying to ban this practice. open your mouth and let father put it on your tongue. or it is just a piece of bread if you don't. Your hands are NOT to touch the host, as unlike father, before he breaks the bread, your hands were not washed in holy water and wiped on a holy towel. I cannot stress enough that you are NEVER to touch it. I can't wait to see the practice banned like Pope Benidict wants. Did you know that Pope John Paul 2 refused to give the french president's wife communion in her hands? To her astonishment, he stuck it in her mouth. There was no need for astonishment because she was told ahead of time that he will NOT give the eucharist in the hand. Here's something else to think of. Mother Teresa of
Calcutta was once asked what makes her the saddest. You would think wars, disasters, etc. However, her answer was I find it extremely disturbing to see people take communion in the hand. You know it's only allowed in six countries? Go to Argentina and hold your hands out and see if you'll get the host there.

No! rosary beads and saying the rosary is contrary to The Word Of God. They are both unbiblical. Please read the bible.
