Which is worse: being trapped in your house with no A/C when it is 120 degrees outside, or being trapped with no heat when it's 5 degrees outside?

I would choose the no a/c. At least in the cold you can bundle up with layers of clothes and blankets. I think it's harder to keep cool when it's that hot out.

trapped in the house when it is 120 degrees would be better than trapped inside with no heat when its 5 degrees out. I assume we are talking fahrenheit. As long as you had running water you could survive the heat, but the possibility of freezing to death with no heat is very real.
