  • It seems to me the draw down the drain would be equal to the output of the shower. My thoughts are that it has more to do with heat rising and expanding across the ceiling and cold air being pressed in under it. But if you put the shampoo and conditioner on top of the shower curtain on the edge of the bathtub it will hold the shower curtain where it needs to stay.

  • There are a number of theories. I believe it's a convection current. If the effect doesn't work for cold water, that would prove it, but I have not done the test.

  • If you use a fabric inner curtain instead of plastic, you won't have as much of an issue.
