it might be a scanner issue or the disk drive might be off but more or less it the scanner
The laser inside your 360 that reads the disks is covered with dust
2 ways to fix these are
1) buy those disks that you insert into disk drive, that cleans the laser while spinning inside the dvd drive
2) open xbox using a youtube vid and clean the laser with a cottenbud yourself(not recommended)
i would just call 18004my-xbox they should help you out maybe even send u a new console in the meanwhile join this site please http://akautep.mybrute.com

Why do i need to buy the Xbox router if i want wireless online play? cant i just hook up a separate router and an Ethernet cable to my Xbox?

You're reading My xbox 360 doesn't seem to read my game discs anymore, it did just fine a couple weeks ago, doesn't seem scratched, what could be the problem?
