  • Not really, I didn't make their decisions for them. I use condoms and I usually end up with more open minded people that are pro-choice and that realize a kid won't help our careers and financial stability at the moment, so if we can do it, others can. And yes it will create more problems in the future. I'm the product of a single parent and I am not going to have my children go through that BS. But for some, it's just a vicious downward spiral.
  • Yes and yes. While it's clear that people can rise above their circumstances, it's also clearly tru that lots of them never do. The traditional two-parent home is a valuable resource. Whenever possible, children should have two loving parents to nurture them and set them on the right path.
  • I was raised in a single parent household after the age of 9 and I think I'm doing a good job with my own children. They're clean, well fed, and happy kids. My 7 year old does chores really well with minimum griping about it. He plays outside all day long and rarely watches more then an hour of TV a day. He does slightly above average in school and only has a problem in music class because he loves to sing and is a disturbance for the poor teacher XD. My 2 year old helps me with laundry and will pick up her toys with little to no instruction. She loves to jump and try to tickle me. :P All in all, I think they're both doing fantastic.
