Naaaa....

According to the bible, she was, in the sense that Jesus was born from her, as a human. If you mean did she provide DNA, I would say no.
-
Not really. The holy scriptures, delcare her mother as entrance, but jesus denied her at the crucification, by calling her: Woman.
-
Ofcourse she was....
-
Of course, she was impregnated by God and gave birth to Jesus-He could not be without both male and female DNA. So Mary was His biological mother. God was His biological father, while Joseph was His earthly father. According to John 19:26-27 NIV Women's Study Bible-"When Jesus saw his mother, 'Dear woman, here is your son,' and to the disciples, 'Here is your mother.' From that time on, this disciple took her into his home." Jesus knew that Mary was His mother and asked John to take care of her with the time she had left on earth. Jesus was responding to the the hurt and helplessness He saw on His mothers face while He was dieing on the Cross. He purposefully entrusts His mothers care to one of His most trusted disciples-John. Hope this helps you inquiry. Great question. God Bless, <:))))<>< Edit: Thank-you for the down rate and I pray that God will truly bless you.

absolutely, I don't believe it was pretense in that stable in Bethlehem and the shepherd's were told by the angel to go and see the Messiah...
-
YES, she gave birth to HIM in the human way. HE just did not inherit the genes, HE was PERFECT and WITHOUT SIN..and we aren't and neither was Mary....
-
Yes. Not only that, but she was the lone contributor to His DNA. Jesus would have looked very much like his mom.

I think that most people believe (consciously or not) that Mary was the biological mother of Jesus. This implies that Mary contributed the “human-nature" or physical part of Jesus. The basic theory that I am proposing is that Mary was not the biological mother of God. Mary was the surrogate mother of Jesus. (John 1:1) Jesus created himself as a man (at the point of conception) then the Holy Spirit implanted Jesus into Mary's womb. Mary was, simply, a willing vessel. Mary carried, the “created man” - Jesus to “term”, delivered him and then was an earthly mother to him. Jesus was a sinless human creation (like Adam) that left His God-ness in Heaven to live a sinless human life on earth. Jesus did not fall to temptation, was baptized and received the Holy Spirit, yielded to death on the cross as a perfect sacrifice for our sin. God raised Him from the dead, and now that He has ascended to heaven and is now like we will be (post-death). Jesus has rejoined His GOD nature and has been given all authority on heaven and earth. While Jesus was on earth He was not a GOD-man with God-like super-powers but Jesus was human just like us. Jesus had “access” to God’s power to do miracles. Jesus depended on His Heavenly Father to perform all of the miracles. John 5:19 “…the son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his father doing…” vs. 30 “by myself I can do nothing; …” i will present other Bible scripture to support the theroy that Mary was the Surrogate Mother. This seemed to be a long posting to start.

yes, she gave birth, but dna, no, Mary was human therefore sinful, Jesus was born sinless, HE was perfect..... Mary was the one God Chose to bring Jesus into the world of the Davidical lineage...
-
Why not? He had to have one. She just wasn't a virgin - because he had to have a biological father too. BTW - her virginity didn't become a deal breaker until about 400 AD.
-
She was his mother, but she wasn't a virgin. That was translated incorrectly. The original word that was there means "young woman". Mary wasn't virginal.
-
Yes. The Bible says that she gave birth to him.
-
Jesus never refers to Mary as his mother and He never calls her mother. Jesus always calls Mary “dear woman”. Most people remember the scene on the cross when Jesus gives John the responsibility to care for Mary as a mother. But when you read the scripture Jesus call's Mary “dear woman” then talking to John says behold “your mother”.
-
Yes.
-
The answer is in the Bible. For example in the Scripture Mary does not refer to the child she is carrying as her own and Elizabeth talks about “the child you (Mary) will bear” not referencing the child as belonging to Mary.
-
Yes she was.

God could have just created Jesus at any age he wanted. Just like Adam was created at an age that he could take care of himself. One reason God used Mary was it was prophesised (foretold) that the messiah would be born of a virgin. Perhaps a reason Jesus started as a "created fertized egg" is that he would live out the same life we have. Jesus was tempted in all ways like us. Mary did play a very important role. She was a willing vessel to be use by God to bring the Messiah into the world and take care of Him and raise Him in the way God would have Him raised in a Jewish home and culture.

to answer "sing-well" - the reference in Colossians 2 speaks in the present tense which meas - the fullness of God resides in Christ - post death, burial, reserection and ascension.
-
The answer regarding DNA "assumes" that God needs another human to create human life. He does not. He created Adam. Jesus said God is able to raise up sons of Abraham from the rocks. Clearly the premise that Mary had to contribute her egg or DNA is flawed.
-
Yes, that is part of my religion.

When you realize how Jesus treated Mary it is not a leap to question: If Mary was Jesus’ biological mother did Jesus “honor his mother” as the scripture's require? Starting when Jesus was Twelve, He stayed behind at the Temple and told Mary and Joseph “I must be about my father's business”. The next scene is His first miracle of turning water into wine at the wedding feast. (John 2:4) Jesus said to Mary “Dear woman, what have I to do with you”. (Matthew 12: 48-50; Mark 3:33-35) Later someone announced to Jesus, that his mother, and his brothers and sisters were there. Jesus replied, who is my mother and who are my brothers and sisters, but those that obey God. These are not examples of “honoring your mother”. Especially when you contrast, how Jesus honored his Father. But, if Mary were not his biological mother, this would explain his actions, and the words he chose to use. If Mary was not his biological mother and she was his surrogate mother it would explain why Jesus treated Mary just like any other person.
-
Yes. This is what the Church has always believed.
-
Does it really matter?
-
Constellation Virgo or possibly symbolic of the New moon during the winter equinox.
-
she gave birth to the SAVIOUR , just as Gabriel told her...but genetics or dna from an imperfect human, NO...Jesus was Perfect...a human could not take on our sins as Christ did...otherwise the Almighty could of chose a mortal man like HE did Mary..... the Messiah was promised through David"s lineage..and GOD DOES NOT GO BACK ON WHAT HE SAYS...for a Christian that is just how it is...
-
yes ofcourse!!!
