Do you find it funny that atheist don't like the christian bible but always seem to counter almost every scripture we quote with another scripture?

Unfortunately, many Christians will listen to nothing but scripture. basic logic often is ignored and the atheist is often told to "prove it with scripture".

What's funny about it? You Christians constantly tell us that there are no contradictions in the Bible, and we atheists use your own Bible to show that you are wrong. To do otherwise would be foolish. Like, for example, using a book of ancient mythology to try to falsify well-supported scientific theories.

As well, aside the others, you generalize in saying we all hate Yahweh's manifesto, and that is naive. It is not hate many feel, but disbelief. It is not a hate of Yahweh and it's book we feel, but an acceptance in lack of it's existence and truth.

What I find funnier is that when we do so, we more often that not win the debate. It's amazing how many Christians don't know what's in their own book.

Yes they do,the bible actually says there isn't really a such thing as an atheist.Lets look at Romans 1:18,For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all unGodliness and unrighteousness of men who supress the truth in unrighteousness.19,because what may be known of God is manifested in them for God has SHOWN it to THEM(atheist)20,For since the CREATION of the world His invisible attributes are CLEARLY seen,being understood by the things that are made,even His eternal power and Godhead,so that they are without excuse.21 Because although they(atheist)knew GOD,they didn't Glorify Him as God.Their(atheist)foolish in their imaginations.See really their is no such thing as an atheist,they just refuse to go by His rules and hate God so bad that they try and make up other answer's they really donot exsist.You know the old saying hear the lie long enough you start to believe it.

Not really. There's an expression, "Fight fire with fire." How else would someone counter scripture? If someone uses a Bible passage to try to prove their point, what better way is there to prove them wrong than to quote a Bible passage that contradicts their point? When someone believes that the Bible is the inerrant word of God and they refuse to consider anything out side of it, then the ONLY way to win the argument is to quote scripture. They don't have to believe in God or the Bible for it to be effective. They only have to know that you believe in it.

Here's the thing I find the most funny. It seems that as in life, there are two things that people shouldn't discuss, one is religion and the other is politics. I'm a Christian and I know the Lord wouldn't approve of me berating the atheists. Judge not lest though be judged. I for one like that they quote scripture...you never know what the Holy Spirit will do with them over that scripture they are quoting! Quote on, Quote on!

That is because many Christians believe that if something is not in the bible, then it is just the opinion of men. For these types of Christians, there is no better way to get through to them that I can think of.
