When people answer questions on here, don't they look at the date the question was asked? Why answer a question from months ago, situation may have changed!

because its there to be answered , if the question comes back to the front pages people will answer it and add their views, now if the situation has changed then its up to the person who posted the question in the first place to up date any changes

Yes, but there are no duplicates allowed. It's better that people answer it based on the way that it was in the past in case someone else is going through the same thing. If the situation changed, just say so in a comment or something or ask a new question.
