What is the difference between Rare, Medium and Well Done meat?

    VOD

    Rare- Cold bloody center
    medium rare- warm red center
    medium- warm pink center
    medium well- hot pinkish center
    well- done throughout. no pink

    here are the temps of the center of the meat for each.

    Very Rare - 125 F
    Rare - 130 F
    Medium Rare - 140 F
    Medium - 150 F
    Well Done - 165 F
    Very Well Done - Why bother??

    Medium: It still bleeds
    Well Done: Smells good.
