Every transaction has traces to be followed, and honestly, its cheaper to pay the overdrawn amount, than if charged with fraud... not worth it.
-
Go ahead and lie. You might be one of the few who actually ENJOYS prison.
-
No! You'll only be making a problem a much worse problem by defrauding the bank. Not a smart idea.
-
No, she got overdrawn. It has happened to most of us at least one time in our lives and it certainly doesn't make you a bad person at all. However, telling a flat out lie about your debit card being stolen shows a total lack of responsibility for one's actions. Pay the overdraft fees.
-
Honesty is the best policy, cheesy but true. I am sure your girlfriend will be able to work some plan out with the bank, we are all human. I hope this helps
-
Nooooooo. Ever hear about those guys that committed fraud against one of the most powerful industries in the world and got away with it? Me neither! They're not just gonna say "No kidding? Well I'll just wipe all this debt away then." They'll want to know that you've gone to the police and they might well investigate it themselves which will mean a lot of questions.
-
well, ordinarily I'd say you should not lie. however, bank fees have become stupidly outrageous. if you cannot afford it, do whatever you can to get out of paying it. It's more important to survive then it is to make some bank rich. Just my opinion.
-
Sure go right ahead. When the bank asks her to file a police report and sign an affidavit to that fact, tell her to go ahead and do that too. And when they throw her ass in jail for filing false police reports, perjury and whatever else they can think of, I hope you're good enough to at least bake her an apple pie and take it to her in jail
-
It's probably not a good idea to lie...it's as simple as just getting a new card. You have to have filed a police report and you have to sign an affidavit regarding the stolen card. I would recommend going into the bank and talking with a banker, often times they can waive some or all of the fees.
-
no. They aren't that stupid. It would be better to go into the bank and see if they will refund her overdraft fees.
