  • The store clerk should be fired if I own the store. I will hire employees who are committed or the store will start losing customers.
  • That has happened to me a few times. I went in to buy something and I cannot find the product I wanted. The clerk was on her cell phone talking away, and she acted like I was not even there. I did not want to be rude and interrupt her conversation (although I should have) so I started to walk out, then she yells "can I help you" I just kept walking out of the store and ignored her. I went to a similar store not to far away and picked up the item I wanted. Yes, I agree with you that is Very rude! How did she know I was going to spend over $100.00 for what I needed? She lost a big sale!
  • I think that is very rude. I am afraid I would have ade a complaint! I was once in a store where two assistants were chatting away and totally ignoring me. In the end, I left them a note on the counter telling them that they had just lost a sale, and that I would be informing their manager, which I did when I got home again. I have not shopped there since!
  • Customer comes first, talk is second. A nice little note of complaint should remedy this problem. Cellphones are ruining anything to do with etiquette.
  • I would report her to the manager or the companies corporate office. This is not what she is paid to do, and it is very rude to their customers.
  • It's rude, but then again it's only the checkout. I might not be too upset so long as it was rung up quickly and error-free.
  • absolutely do not allow her to wait on you-until she is done. i am sure she was never trained, and she will never learn unless people demand at least adequate customer service.
  • it is rude.
  • I agree with you 100%. There is a freaking cell phone addiction out there that looks quite weird. A few days ago I saw three young women walking down a street, each one of them talking on a cell phone. It was evident that they were together as friends, but each one was ignoring the other two!! Very rude and unfriendly....
  • I dislike cell phones. I've seen more rudeness occur lately because of them. Whether it's driving, working or in line at a fast food place, cell phones do not make for a pleasant experience except for those that are using them. In your instance, customer service should've been her top priority. I've worked for a landscaping company before and the boss prohibited his employess from using cell phones on company time. Too much time spent not working.
  • Yes its really rude!!! conpalin
