When I used the internet for the first time, then I fell for "Congrats, you won a free DVD player, click here before time runs out!". Something told me it was rubbish, so I didn't follow along. Now I just add all ad servers to the blacklist (HOSTS file).

No, they are just cyber-versions of the real life scams.

I haven't fallen for anything, but these scammers can lie and make you click to get off something and actually try and charge you anyway. Be careful. Have good software protection and don't believe a word.
