The only time I've ever been to summer camp was when I was at elementary school age. I hated that stupid camp... Oh, I remember one good experience at another camp! We used to play hide-and-go-seek-in-the-dark. It was the best game ever invented...

Yes. When I was a counselor at a day camp one of my kids dedicated a song to me at the skateing rink. It was very sweet. I alwasy think of her when I hear that song. It was nice to know I had made a positive difference in someone's life. The song by the way was, "You're My Best Friend". It was the closest to what she wanted to say.:)

I was completely infatuated with one of my counselors who was only 2 years older than me and attended my church. We were all walking along the bank of a big lake and he wrote the name of the person he liked on a rock and threw it far into the water. Before he threw it he showed it to a friend of mine and she said it had my name on it. When we got back home he asked me out and I was so thrilled.

The night silence and splash of the lake against the rocks on shore. The brilliance of the stars on a clear, moonless night over an Adirondack Lake.

15 years old. Taking my girl out on the lake after dinner in a canoe to the island. Finding the right spot. Figuring out what to do. We did.

When I was a girlscout, I went to this camp (can't remember the name of it) and for some reason, had this infatuation with dead frogs. Whenever we were hiking and I saw one, I made everyone stop and sang "Tom the Toad" in their memory. I had to be about eight at the time.

I learned a funny/gross song there that I still remember. My baby vomits in my ear, every tuesday night and it's so wonderful to hear every tuesday night Tell your brother I'm a wreck, every time we neck. Wa, wa wa.
