Because they do! Bad and Good things happen to everyone regardless of the labels we place on them. We just get indignant because we expect the universe to favor "good" people and dispense all the good onto them. Everyone gets good and bad. That way life is fair.

the world is not black and white in the same way that there is no 'good' and 'bad'. maybe a different world view would answer this question. no AB can honestly answer this one.

of course they do! everything happens to both types of people. the sun shines on the good man and the bad man, it rains on the good man and the bad man. life happens.

They do. And it seems unfair because we want good to instantly be rewarded, and bad to be instantly punished. I'm an elder in my religion so I'll toss out a quick religious response:) If one belives that this life is it, then it does seem unfair that it shakes down that way. 2 things: 1-if good were instantly rewarded and bad instantly punished, then we would only be good and avoid bad simply for reward and to avoid punishment. We wouldn't learn to be obedient for the right reason, that reason being love for each other and for God. 2-Eventually, bad things WILL happen to bad people and GOOD things happen to good people when God judges us and decides whether we merit eternal blessings or eternal unhappiness, and to which degree we will receive it. So be patient and just learn to love the good and the bad out there. Eventually we hope to learn to love so much that we woudln't want anything bad to happen to anyone:)

The same things happen to every person, we just don't realize it. Bad things happen to good people because the person thinks "Oh, That will never happen to me" or because the person is just always living the good life and when something bad happens they freak out. Good things can also happen to bad people, like having a change of heart, turning from someone bad to someone good.
